I'm looking for ideas to create our new logo. I've asked this question with several people. Here's the list:

Silent Redemption (Guild Name) was started in October 1999. Second oldest guild on the server that is still active today. Started on Brell Serilis. Merged to Cazic Thule server.

What does "Silent Redemption" means to you?

1) It's the hero we need that saves people but we don't know who.
2) The spirit of a humble servent, accomplishing their goals with a quiet restrained dignity
3) Quietly being proven to be right and good
4) Not loudly, boasting, bragging, excessively about "winning" or making silly excuses for failures... just silently enduring and doing your best
5) Earning your way back from doing something wrong or loosing silently like not looking for attention or to be noticed
6) Struggling for betterment without speaking
7) A quiet way to reclaim your past sins
Gaining power with dignity
9) Making the most of the chance given to you
10) We go about our business without fanfare being the best we can be. Any failures we redemn as a team
11) The words "Silent Redemption" makes me feel powerful. It's like grinning at an adversary Han Solo style and putting them immediately in their place
12) Redemined without saying anything
13) A place to get new loot with minimal effort

Why are we changing Logo? It captures the essence of SR nicely.

The old logo gives too much details and hard to understand. Too many interpretations. A couple of others also agrees that it needs to change. That's why I'm opening this discussion for everyone to brainstorm here.

I will also keep old logo on history page. It shows how much effort we had before.

What do you mean too many details? It's a knight low on hp continuing the struggle.

I agree with Cecil. It would be great if we could salvage some of the old stuff, if for no other reason than nostalgia. If we aren't keeping it, then I do like the idea of a history page. Thanks to the person who came up with that idea

Keep in mind that I'm all about having consistent style. With new template, it will need to stay consistent with logo. As you can see that the logo colors and details doesn't match template style. I'm senior UX developer.

There is one exception that I MIGHT agree with... Crop to "knight" logo area and place it in logo placeholder in new template. We'll still need to come up with "Silent Redemption" new name style and location in new template.

Again, I'm open to new ideas.

How about this, the " Knight" is really a Warrior low on hp and Cecil in background whispering good job Ranonman good job... the girl is still Spiffy looking unimpressed at you though.
